Troop 607 is a Scouts BSA troop in Northeast Phoenix where boys learn leadership by actually doing it. Our Scouts run their own patrols, plan their own activities, and elect their own Senior Patrol Leader — giving them real responsibility and real confidence.
We’re an active troop that gets outdoors every month. Whether it’s backpacking, canoeing, tailgating, or spending a week at Camp Geronimo, our Scouts get plenty of chances to explore Arizona and beyond. Older Scouts take on even bigger adventures at Philmont, Sea Base, and Northern Tier — once‑in‑a‑lifetime experiences they’ll talk about for years.
We meet every Monday evening at the Phoenix Elks Lodge, a fantastic partner that supports our troop and gives our Scouts meaningful ways to serve. Troop 607 is known for pitching in: trail cleanups, building renovations, and Eagle projects.
Advancement is encouraged but never pressured. Younger Scouts get hands‑on help from leaders to learn skills and complete rank requirements. Once a Scout reaches Second Class, they choose their own pace — working on merit badges at meetings or independently, depending on what fits their goals and schedule.
Parents are welcome at meetings, but not required. Most outings are for Scouts only, with the exception of our annual family campout. Troop 607 is designed to help boys grow independently, build leadership skills, and gain confidence through real experiences — all while having fun with friends.
